Payton
This is my latest painting and the hardest so far. Payton is my wonderful old chocolate lab that I adore. Here he is enjoying our dock in Maine. I took this photo 2 years ago so I had to gray him up a lot more. Pets are tough to capture because you know their little personality nuances. This came close.

Lily of Bear Lake
This is a painting for my husband from a photo I took at his favorite little lake in Ohio. He has a lot of fond memories of he and his Dad fishing here. The little lake is pure inspiration for painters....it's really what started my renewed attempt at conquering fine art painting. A big leap from my big old scenic art sets and murals!
Dinghy on a beach
This is one of my new paintings also, using a piece of sanded masonite with acrylic. Trying to get a new look with light and black and white and one third color which on this is the distressed red on the boat. Clouds have always been a problem for me but I'm fairly happy with these.
My latest painting...
As a Scenic Artist I am used to working large....so I've been pushing myself to work on smaller pieces. This is a lot more challenging than I thought but I think I'm learning to see things smaller....I hope. This is one of my latest of a picture I took of the Owls Head lighthouse in Owls Head Maine near where I live. The medium is acrylic on a piece of sanded masonite.
